Religion in the News: Archbishop Joseph Kurtz, and Amish on Trial in Kentucky

Friday, Oct. 14, on State of the News, we chatted with Peter Smith, Religion Writer from the Courier-Journal.  He discussed his recent feature article on Archbishop Joseph Kurtz‘s burgeoning career within the Catholic Church. Kurtz continues to rise in prominence within the Church, and many speculate he is a leading candidate for archbishop in a major American city, and possibly even cardinal.We also talked about the ongoing story of some Amish men in Kentucky being ordered to jail for their refusal - on religious grounds - to display orange reflective triangles on their buggies.Our conversation with Peter Smith is here:
