Five college basketball players with Kentucky connections were selected in yesterday’s National Basketball Association draft.UK’s Enes Kanter was taken third overall by the Utah Jazz. Kanter never played for the Wildcats after being declared ineligible by the NCAA.UK guard Branden Knight was the eight overall pick, going to the Detroit Pistons.Morehead State’s Kenneth Faried was the 22nd first round pick, going to the Denver Nuggets.Former Kentucky standouts Josh Harrellson and DeAndre Liggins were drafted in the second round by New Orleans and Orlando, respectively. Harrellson was later traded to the New York Knicks for cash.Butler's Shelvin Mack, a native of Lexington, was chosen in the second round by Washington.
