The Louisville-area teenager who was crowned Miss World about two weeks ago was back in the city Thursday to be recognized for her achievement. Eighteen year old Alexandria Mills competed against more than 100 other young women in the Miss World Pageant October 30 in China. She became just the third American to win the title."I'm honored to be here, to be from such a wonderful place. Born and raised, wouldn't trade it for the world. This will always be my home," she said during a brief ceremony at the mayor's office.Mills, who's from Shepherdsville and had been working in Louisville, will spend the next year traveling the world, raising money for children's charities and other causes. She was named a distinguished citizen of Louisville Thursday by Mayor Abramson.
