It's an age-old debate in edcuation: more math or more art? More science or more singing? With schools facing tight budgets, many may be tempted to cut their arts classes or funding for teacher training related to the arts. On the other hand, some school districts, such as JCPS, are establishing arts magnet schools from elementary to high school. So where do the arts belong in education? How much is enough and if you have a student who is serious about art, what are the options? Join us on Tuesday for a discussion of the arts in education.
