WFPK Highlights Louisville Music With 'CitySong'

91.9 WFPK is thrilled to announce "CitySong,” a new online source for Louisville music news at WFPK.org. "CitySong" features articles and interviews about the Louisville music scene and local artist video premieres.

A companion to the online features will be a monthly "CitySong" video series, created by WFPK, that highlights Louisville artists performing in places here that hold significance for them. January’s premiere "CitySong" video features singer-songwriter Justin Paul Lewis at the Iroquois Amphitheater.

"Championing Louisville artists has always been part of our mission. We now have a team in place to take it online with special content you won't get via the airwaves or stream,” said WFPK Program Director Stacy Owen. “I'm really excited to share 'CitySong' with WFPK listeners."

The "CitySong" blog is curated by WFPK on-air host and assistant program director Laura Shine.

The video series is produced by Will Ford, former WFPK intern and writer for Louisville.com, and filmed and edited by J. Tyler Franklin. Stacy Owen is executive producer.
