Democrats and Republicans in dozens of Indiana municipalities on Tuesday are selecting their nominees for mayor, city council and other offices.
In New Albany, there’s a contested race in the Democratic primary for mayor. Incumbent Jeff Gahan faces a challenge from David White.
The winner will face Republican Kevin Zurschmiede in November.
Voters in Floyd County also have a referendum on the ballot regarding several school construction and renovation projects.
In Jeffersonville, Republican incumbent Mayor Mike Moore is being challenged by Bill Meiners, while Louis Hancock and Dennis Julius are vying for the Democratic nomination for mayor.
Polls close at 6 p.m.
