WFPL reporter Devin Katayama was able to tour some of the Whiskey Row buildings in downtown Louisville recently, as owners prepare for the first phase of renovation efforts there. The five buildings in question are now owned by Main Street Revitalization, LLC, who purchased them in August after they were nearly demolished by developer Todd Blue, who sold them for $4.8 million.Phase one of the plan includes stabilizing the buildings and preparing them for long-term development. The facades on all five buildings will remain, and plans even include maintaining two more facades owned by Blue, though the buildings behind them will be destroyed.Katayama discussed the tour, and we heard a sound clip, on State of the News on Friday.
