Early this morning it was reported that Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi had been killed in his hometown of Sirte. Gadhafi ruled Libya for the past 42 years until he was ousted by his own people in an uprising during the Arab Spring this year.Reports throughout the morning tried confirming Gadhafi's death after revolutionary fighters closed in on the last few buildings Gadhafi and his supporters held in Sirte.Confirmation of his death came late morning from Libya's new prime minister."We have been waiting for this moment for a long time," said Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril at a news conference in Tripoli.
