Flood Risks Persist as Heavy Rain Continues

With the Ohio River currently five feet over the flood stage and more rain expected, the National Weather Service's flash flood watches and warnings continue for much of the area, including Louisville. The NWS further says the worst may be yet to come, as rainfall is expected to continue throughout and the coming days.All of the Metro Sewer District's flood pumping stations were active last week in preparation for heavy rain over the weekend.
