Ricky Bobby: The Paws Report, Oct. 4

Today on The Paws Report at 3:30:

Hi, I'm Ricky Bobby! I'm a two-year-old cat who found myself at the Kentucky Humane Society after I was transferred from an overcrowded shelter with no room for me. Now I'm on the hunt for a forever home! I've been told there's a movie named after me. I'm a solid guy with a brown tabby coat. My eyes are a soft green that want to see everything there is to see. I have a very loud purr that sounds just like a race car, and I can be very fast when it comes to winning over your heart. So Talladega has nothing to compare to me. I also have something called FIV. Basically it just means that my immune system is not as strong as it should be. Because of this, I should either be the only cat in the home or live with cats who are also FIV positive. Don't get me wrong, I can still live a long and happy life with you. I just need someone who understands I may need more vet visits than other cats. Anyway, I want all your attention and love so I'm the ONLY cat you will ever really need. Won't you give me a chance? I'm neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Meet me at the Kentucky Humane Society’s Main Campus, 241 Steedly Drive, Louisville. View all adoptable pets at KHS at www.kyhumane.org or call 502-366-3355 for more information.

This Sunday, Oct. 9, is Paws Over Portland – an art show at the Tim Faulkner Art Gallery benefiting KHS. Free admission for people, $2 for dogs (benefits KHS). There will be food trucks, a cash bar, coffee, music, art and a few animal-themed vendors. More details here.

Laura is the afternoon host from 3-6 pm weekdays. Email Laura at lshine@lpm.org
