Its interesting to think about the expectations that have been thrown at Regina Spektor when talking about a new album. Her last effort, 2006's Begin To Hope, left such a strong impression on listeners that war cries for more were inevitable. And those cries have finally been answered, but maybe not the way fans had wished for. Regina posted the first track from her forthcoming disc, Far on her MySpace over the weekend, and as you'll hear, the bouncy-ness of Fidelity or On The Radio isn't here, but what you do get is a well thought out ballad. But then again, here's hoping that there is still room on the new disc for a little bit of that old shine.
