Del McCoury Band -- WFPK Winter Fundraiser

WFPK Winter Fundraising Concert Del McCoury Band with The 23 String Band

91.9 WFPK is proud to present the Del McCoury Band with The 23 String Band on Saturday, February 25, at 9pm (doors open at 8pm) at Headliners Music Hall. The Del McCoury Band has just been honored with a 9th Grammy nomination for their latest project titled, Old Memories: The Songs of Bill Monroe.

Tickets are on sale at headlinerslouisville.com, Headliners box office, and at Louisville Public Media, 619 South 4th Street. Tickets are $20.00 in advance (plus applicable service fees when purchased through eTix) and $25 on the day of show. Patrons must be 18 years or older to attend.

It has been two years since the Grammy Award-winning Del McCoury Band sold out their last appearance at Headliners. “We’re so excited that Del and the boys have decided to show their support for WFPK yet again,” says WFPK Program Director Stacy Owen. “Hosting a show with the reigning prince of Bluegrass is a wonderful way to kick off 2012.”
The 23 String Band pays homage to the deep roots of American traditional music while pushing forward with genre bending, hard-driving originals and distinctive arrangements. They are touring in support of their newest release, Catch 23.
