Presented by 89.3 WFPL and The Kentucky Center

"Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion Summer Love Tour” kicks off a cross-country tour that will bring the popular radio host and his pals to The Kentucky Center’s newly renovated Whitney Hall on Sunday, August 14, at 7 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now at www.kentuckycenter.org, or (502) 584-7777.

Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band, acclaimed singer-songwriter Andra Suchy and sound effects wizard Mr. Fred Newman join Keillor for an evening of passionate duets, hot jazz, and comedy (with a nod to Catchup, English Majors and Poesy). While the touring show is not a broadcast, it will include many A Prairie Home Companion favorites, including Guy Noir Private Eye, the Cowboys Dusty and Lefty, and the latest News from Lake Wobegon.

Since its debut in 1974, A Prairie Home Companion has become a beloved tradition on public radio (broadcast locally on 89.3 WFPL), with an audience of more than 4 million. More information can be found at prairiehome.org and wfpl.org.

Tickets are $45.00 - $80.00 and can be purchased now by calling The Kentucky Center Box Office at 584-7777, toll free at (800) 775-7777 or (502) 562-0730 (TTY), or by visiting www.kentuckycenter.org.
