The promise is a feast is what draws many to Thanksgiving. But what to do after (or before) the dining with family and friends? Why, for many Louisvillians, a bourbon-based cocktail is exactly what is to be done.
Sean Cannon, host of "WFPK After Dark" on WFPL's sister station, puts a seasonal spin on the Old Fashioned. (Hint: It includes cranberries.) Sean recently showed videographer Alix Mattingly how to make the cocktail. Watch below:

Autumnal Old Fashioned
1 oz. bourbon
1 oz. brandy
10 (fresh or frozen) cranberries
2 tsp. maple syrup
3 dashes Angostura bitters
2 inch piece of orange zest
Place cranberries, syrup, bitters, orange zest in cocktail shaker. Muddle the cranberries and other ingredients thoroughly. Add bourbon, brandy, and ice. Shake and pour through cocktail strainer into an Old Fashioned glass.
