Conservative watchdog group Campus Reform is reporting that the University of Kentucky conducted a survey focusing on attitudes about LGBTQ students.Campus Reform said an anonymous student told them the survey came from the University Health Services Department, lasted 5-10 minutes and included agree/disagree statements about whether LGBTQ identity is a sin, a perversion, and a mental illness (the American Psychological Association has not not considered homosexuality a mental illness since the 1970s).Students who identified as LGBTQ were allegedly given a different set of statements to agree or disagree with, including one about whether they would choose to be heterosexual if they could.UK Spokesperson Jay Blanton confirmed the survey was sent to students by school employees, and said a statement clarifying the survey's contents and purpose (as well as a copy of all questions) will be issued soon. This story will be updated.
