Cards’ coach Charlie Strong says he appreciates the importance of the in-state rivalry, but the season can’t be defined by a single game."I think the fans are more into it than anyone, because they’re the ones talking about ‘you only need to win one game,’" Strong said."Well, I want to win them all, I’m not just trying to win one. They’re the ones that really get into it, ‘just beat Kentucky.’ There’s a lot of teams on our schedule but we understand what’s at stake."
