From Charles Compton, Kentucky Public RadioEven if the U-S Supreme Court overturns elements of the health care overhaul, Republican U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky says the reform effort should continue. Paul, who’s was elected just after Congress passed the law, says the old system didn’t work. “I tell people that my prediction is it’s at least a 50% chance that it’s overturned. Now I do tell people, that, if it is overturned, we get a do-over. And a do-over means, that, I think Republicans need to do a better job presenting what we would do to fix it. I think most people would agree there are still problems with health care,” he said. Paul says the government needs to cut the cost of medical care and reduce the price of health insurance and he wants to increase competition and open the health care industry to free market forces.
