Three finalists have been selected for an upcoming vacancy on the Indiana Supreme Court.The Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission chose the three from seven semifinalists today. Governor Mitch Daniels now has 60 days to appoint one of them to the vacancy created by next month’s retirement of Chief Justice Randall Shepard.The finalists are: Indiana Court of Appeals Judge Cale Bradford, Indiana Judicial Center Director Jane Ann Seigel and Mark Massa, who’s executive director of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute. If Seigel is chosen by the governor, she’ll be the only female on the high court and the first since 1999.The seven semifinalists included Floyd County Superior Court Judge Maria Granger and Columbus attorney Steven Schultz, who’s also executive director of the Louisville and Southern Indiana Bridges Authority.
