The North Oldham Little League team’s quest for a World Series title has ended with an extra-inning defeat. The team from La Grange was eliminated by Georgia 8-5 in the Little League World Series today in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.North Oldham came back from a 5-2 deficit to tie the game in the fifth inning, but Georgia took the lead for good with three runs in the top of the ninth. The Kentuckians opened the series Friday with a 1-0 win over Pennsylvania, but were eliminated with consecutive losses to California and Georgia.North Oldham finishes its Little League season with a 15-5 record.
