The Federal Aviation Administration has been in partial shutdown since July 22 when Congressional negotiations over extending funding for the agency broke down. The shutdown affects over 4,000 FAA employees, including engineers and air safety inspectors, and 70,000 contract workers. And it’s costing the federal government nearly 30 million dollars every day.
