The Jefferson County Board of Education is scheduled tonight to select a search firm to help the district find a new superintendent. The board voted in November to replace current Superintendent Sheldon Berman, whose contract expires at the end of June. The panel interviewed three national search firms last week, but took no action.Prior to that action, board member Linda Duncan says she’ll ask the panel to reconsider its decision not to renew Berman’s contract. However, there are no indications that enough board members are willing to change their votes to allow Berman to stay on.
