Many of Kentucky’s Republican Party faithful will gather next weekend in Louisville, where they will get to meet candidates for state office in the May primary.The Jefferson County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner will feature remarks from U.S. Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul, but members will also hear from their gubernatorial nominees. Cordell Lawrence is Vice-Chairman of the county party."We have three very qualified candidates that are all very intelligent, and I think bring a little bit different characteristics and attributes for people to kind of examine as they make their decision for the primary," he said. The three gubernatorial slates are led by Kentucky Senate President David Williams, Louisville businessman Phil Moffett and Jefferson County Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw.The Lincoln Day Dinner is Saturday night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
