Governor Steve Beshear has been travelling the state this week to recognize Kentucky's past and present military personnel in advance of Thursday's Veteran's day ceremonies. Following a visit to Fort Knox Wednesday, the governor, accompanied by Mayor Jerry Abramson, made a stop at the VA Hospital in Louisville."We honor veterans on Veterans Day but we really ought to be honoring them every day because of what they've done for this country. We've got 339,000 veterans in Kentucky. Kentucky has a tradition of military service," he said.Beshear says Kentuckians should also thank military families for the sacrifices they make while their loved ones are serving overseas.
