The Future of TV

It seems almost quaint now to think about families rushing home to be in front of the television every week at a certain time of a certain day. In fact, it wasn't that long ago. These days television viewing is much more customizable; if you missed your favorite show, you probably DVR'd it to watch later, or maybe you pulled it up on your smartphone while riding the bus or your laptop during lunch break. Increasingly people watch TV in non-traditional ways - even getting rid of the old-style set and watching everything digitally. So where do all these changes leave the TV industry? How have they adapted, and what will the future hold for television?
