By Sheila AshThe Louisville Metro Planning Commission held a public hearing Thursday on a proposal to rename a portion of 34th Street in honor of the late civil rights activist Reverend Louis Coleman. One of the sponsors of the proposal, Metro Councilwoman Judy Green, says some residents are concerned about having to change their addresses."We have talked with the post office and theyβre willing to work folks on a time period to get those mailing documents changed," she said.The Metro Planning Commission voted to send the proposal the Metro Council with a few technical recommendations on signage. The council has the final say on the name change.
