Folk music will fill Louisville’s Iroqouis Park Amphitheatre as the Kentucky Music Weekend gets under way Friday night . Organizer Nancy Barker says the event, now in its 35th year, has always included some world class musicians.“We have had everybody from Arlo Guthrie and Jean Ritchie to names that you do not know at all but yet, they’re the top folk names in what they do,” she said. This year’s festival will include performances by dulcimer standout Stephen Siefert, singer/songwriter Mitch Barrett and local Celtic group Keltricity. The festival begins at 7:00 Friday evening and continues through Saturday night. Admission is free but donations are accepted.(Story by WFPL intern Simon Levine)
