By Rick HowlettThe U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary was in Louisville Friday.Kathleen Sebelius visited Wellington Elementary School in southwest Louisville, one of the district's "health magnet" schools, which integrate acedemics with health, fitness and sports education. She wants more schools across the country to follow Wellington's example. "There's a huge problem with childhood obesity, we're in a situation when one out of every three children is either overweight or obese, and...this generation will have shorter life spans than their parents unless we change the diabetes and chronic disease trend," she said.Health and Human Services recently awarded a $7.9 million competitive grant to Metro Government to boost various health initiatives.
