Financial Literacy for Teachers and Students
Stocks, bonds, markets, 401Ks, interest rates, and all the terms in-between. It can be tough to keep up with all the financial terms that are used in our daily lives, from the news story to the memo from your human resources department. Now just imagine if you are expected to teach these terms and concepts to a class full of 7th graders. Or you're the 10th grader trying to figure out why the adults around you are complaining about the interest rates on their savings accounts. Financial literacy is important to everyone, but you have to know it to teach it. Join us on Wednesday for a discussion on teachers, students and financial literacy.
