Officials in Indiana are launching a statewide media campaign to enourage people to get vaccinated for both the seasonal and H1N1 flu.
Governor Mitch Daniels and State Health Department Commissioner Judy Monroe announced the campaign as they received their seasonal flu shots Wednesday in the governor's office.
The first shipments of H1N1 vaccine have begun arriving at hospitals and health departments and will be made available to the general public once priority doses are administered.
Monroe says for those worried about safety, the new vaccine is not much different from the seasonal type.
"The methodology of the production, the way they 've made this vaccine is the same as any other seasonal influenza, it's just a new virus that they had to make this vaccine," Monroe said.
