Louisville’s Presentation Academy will hold a dedication ceremony today for its new $5 million Arts and Athletic Center on South Fourth Street.
The school’s President, Sister Christine Beckett, says the Catholic high school will welcome city and state officials, students, donors, alumni and friends for the ceremony.“The Archbishop of Louisville will be there to bless—to actually do the blessing of the new building. And we will have many other VIPs and, you know, visiting and guests and we’re expecting 500 plus people,” she said. The new structure, which was completed in August, includes a state-of-the-art gymnasium, theater, fitness room and dance studio. This marks the first major construction at Presentation since 1948. The ceremony begins at 2pm.
