Mosquito Fogging Underway

Louisville neighborhoods are being fogged for mosquitoes throughout the summer. Spokesperson Dave Langdon says the Department for Public Health and Wellness measures mosquito populations and targets areas for fogging.“They hang mosquito traps throughout the area," says Langdon, "and then those areas that have large populations of mosquitoes are the ones we determined to fog.”Langdon says health department workers will continue to monitor the traps throughout the summer.Mosquitoes are known to sometimes carry West Nile virus, which can infect humans and, in some cases, be fatal.
