U.S. Senator Jim Bunning of Kentucky says it would be accurate to characterize his relationship with fellow Republican Senator Mitch McConnell as strained.Bunning says he and McConnell have been at odds since McConnell tried to persuade him not to seek a third term next year."I said no to him, and he doesn't like people to say no to him. In fact he's a control freak, he wants to control everything that happens," Bunning told reporters during his weekly teleconference Tuesday.Bunning has been critical of McConnell in recent months, saying the senior senator has been attempting to recruit an opponent for Bunning in the GOP primary.McConnell has declined to respond publicly to Bunning's criticisms.
