The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission has approved a ban on anabolic steroids.The unanimous vote came during the commission's regular meeting Monday in Lexington. The commission asked Governor Steve Beshear to enact the ban by issuing an emergency order. Beshear says he will grant the request.Under the new regulation, thoroughbreds would be prohibited from racing with any steroid in their system, incuding the kind Big Brown had in his system before winning this year's Kentucky Derby.Churchill Downs officials released a statement saying they "fully support" the ban.
