Museum on Main Street
It seems like so many national treasures and pieces of our history are concentrated in big metropolitan museums - where many of us will never get the chance to see them. Museum on Main Street, a partnership between the Smithsonian Institution and state humanities councils, is trying to remedy that by bringing exhibits to rural museums throughout the country. They include displays about roots music, culinary heritage, how our ancestors came to America, and even the history and significance of fences. Join us this Tuesday to learn more about these traveling museums, and when they'll be in our part of the country.
