The band Jenna Dean is shooting their music video for their newly released song “Prayer” (ft. Carly Johnson). The music video shoot includes hosting a candle lighting celebration at Garage Bar the night of March 4th. That night Jenna Dean will also be launching a NEW art installation in the outdoor area of this local hangout.
This socially conscious inspired mural is interchangeable, the first of many future art murals that will hang in this spot. This project gives local artists a new platform to share their art in the NULU area. Local Artists like Aron Conaway and groups like Hypnopomp Art are excited to help launch the project. The building owner, Praveen, has turned down substantial offers to use this high-eye-traffic wall for advertising purposes to instead dedicate the wall in support of Louisville art.
Jenna Dean’s Mural ( inspired by their song “Prayer”) features people of various cultures and backgrounds. One face portrays a Crow Warrior in traditional dress. The Crow, called the Apsáalooke in their own Siouan language, reside in present-day Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota. Another face shows a strong female character and Syrian refugee, proudly wearing her hijab. Both faces artistically depict diverse cultures, pointedly addressing themes of current social injustice. The candles in the mural allude to the actual candles that will be lit in solidarity on the night of March 4th in honor of our human family - collectively sending out prayers for our world.

JENNA DEAN invites the local community of Louisville to come together on Saturday, March 4th –

3) to launch our socially conscious art mural installation at Garage Bar.
Our goal is to host this afternoon of oneness for the purpose of capturing the heart of the local community in our music video. We want to feature YOU ALL in Prayer’s upcoming music video - alongside with people in various countries and cultures. These powerful global shots were captured by our videographer Sam Newton Media, who has traveled around the world these past three months meeting / documenting people, like us, sending out their own prayers.
We will be providing candles to all so we can collectively send out positive intentions or “prayers” for our world in this unstable time.
We will begin the music video shoot on the Big Four Bridge. Please meet at 3:30 PM at the grass area where the spiral ramp starts. After filming on the bridge we invite everyone to join us at Garage Bar at 5:45 PM where the installation of our multimedia art mural will hang. The last scene at Garage Bar will commence no later than 7:00 PM with shots of all you willing extras, holding candles in front of our mural installation.
