Thanksgiving Programming 2015

We’ve got a musical recipe for your Thanksgiving Day on 91.9 WFPK, as we re-broadcast some of our favorite Live Lunches of the year and more!

6-8am - Meg Samples Listen for Alice's Restaurant in the 7am hour!

8-10am - A Grateful Journey: Kris Kristofferson An American Routes conversation with a man of many talents: songwriter, actor, boxer, military man, among many titles, Kris Kristofferson, reflecting on his life in music, his songwriting craft, and the nature of gratitude for his life's adventures.

10am-Noon - Isn't It Good: The Beatles Rubber Soul Special A celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Rubber Soul release from award-winning Beatles' history producer Paul Ingles. Music writers, musicians, and Beatles fans take you through a track-by-track tour of this legendary album, considered by most as the pivotal release in the Beatles' career.

12:00 - Ben Sollee
1:00 - Anderson East
2:00 - Bahamas
3:00 - White Horse
4:00 - Maiden Radio
5:00 - Randall Bramblett

6-8pm - World Cafe Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, with live performance and interview. And in the second hour, a live Latin Roots performance and interview with Billy Gibbons and the BFG’s.

8-9pm - Sound Opinions Sometimes we look forward to an artist’s new release with great expectations, only to be crushed by the result. In honor of Thanksgiving, we present the annual Sound Opinions Turkey Shoot, where hosts Jim DeRogatis and Greg Kot share the biggest musical disappointments of the year.

9pm-1am – FPK’s After Dark With Sean Cannon
11pm - Late Night Wars - We play the best late night TV performance of the week

1am–2am – Night Visions
An eclectic mix of independent and under-represented dance, electronica, rock and pop music from around the world.
