Biscuit: The Paws Report, August 6

On The Paws Report today at 3:30:

Meet Biscuit, an enchanting, two-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix with the sweetest personality around. Biscuit made his way to the Kentucky Humane Society in May from an overcrowded shelter. Shortly after his arrival, we discovered that Biscuit’s ears were completely closed off and calloused over from what appeared to be multiple untreated ear infections. Heartbroken for the sweet dog, we made appointments with veterinarians all over town to see if anything could be done to save Biscuit’s ears. Luckily for Biscuit, it was revealed that his ear issues actually stemmed from bad allergies, and surgery wouldn’t be necessary to repair his ears! After some TLC, a new diet and medication, Biscuit’s ears have improved dramatically, and he is ready to find his forever home. During his time in the shelter, Biscuit has won the hearts of staff, campers and volunteers alike. Despite his hardships. He maintains his happy-go-lucky spirit and greets everyone he meets with a tail wag and soft kiss on the cheek. While he will require a special adopter who’s able to keep him on his diet and take him to the veterinarian for regular check-ups and ear cleaning, Biscuit remains optimistic. If you’re looking for a companion who will be loyal until the very end, come meet Biscuit! He is neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Visit him at the Kentucky Humane Society's Main Campus, 241 Steedly Drive in Louisville. Learn about all our adoptable pets at www.kyhumane.org or call 502-366-3355.

KHS is also currently having an adoption special for select cats in the shelter. The cats included in the promotion are our “long term” residents, some of which have been with us for more than 5 months. The promotion is called 9 Lives for $9 and it will be going on all month long. All cats included in the promotion are listed on our website.
