As lead man of Nada Surf, Caws survived the 90s - and that song - rediscovered success on their own terms in the 2000s and have come out as one of best sure-fire bands for both critics and fans alike. Kyle Meredith sat down with Caws at Headliners Music Hall to talk about his professor parents, growing older in rock and roll, the NPR debate and the band's new album, The Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy.
