At this point, its nothing new to hear an indie band cover a popular r&b or pop song. It does raise some attention though, when a widely known r&b star covers an indie song. Solange Knowles, sister of Beyonce, has done just that. Her love of one of this years biggest hype bands, The Dirty Projectors, has got the best of her, so she decided to take their track Stillness In The Move and give it her own spin. What's great is that if you didn't know otherwise, you probably couldn't tell this could've been anything but a pop song - a nice instance of an artist making a track their own, instead of just doing the basic cover.
