Having five separate guys, who all move from Alaska to Portland to meet each other in in their new town and form a band might seem serendipitous, but for the quintet known as The Builders & The Butchers, it just seems right. Having a similar backstory in a foreign town must have made for an easy connection, since quickly after forming, writing, and playing out, the band was named Best New Band of 2008 and even made some waves a bit south in Seattle where they picked up the Best Live Performers accolade. They've been touring pretty frequently this year and have recently released a split EP with Loch Lomond. From it, here is the song Vampire Lake, its The Builders & The Butchers on The Daily Feed.
