On today's Paws Report we interviewed Nicole Smith Murphy who works with United Rescues of Kentucky who transfer dogs from overcrowded animal shelters with high euthanasia rates to No-Kill Shelters across the country and to individuals who will adopt them. Miss Mira is up for adoption at the Lincoln County Shelter and is an extremely happy, sweet, and affectionate purebred Kentucky "Heck-If-I-Know." Maybe a bit beagle, a bit labrador retriever, a bit terrier, she is the spitting image of this week's in studio canine guest Clover, who relocated from Lincoln County to Louisville two years ago. Mira is always smiling, and gets so excited when humans come to visit her that she sits down to wag her tail and get comfortable to soak up all the love you can give her. At 40 pounds and maybe a year old, she would be a marvelous addition to a loving Louisville-area family. And she is VERY quickly running out of time. Anyone interested in adopting her, please contact melissa4dogs@bellsouth.net.
