Rodrigues Fruit Bat

Duke and Marcelle discuss the Rodrigues fruit bat, which is found on the island of Rodrigues in the Indian Ocean.  This bat is one of the most endangered of the megachiropteran species.  Marcelle explains the program the Louisville Zoo is involved in which strives to save this bat, affectionately known as the 'flying fox' or the 'chihuahua with wings.'  Check out the podcast, and learn more at the Zoo's web page.
