Featured Album: Mendelssohn and the Violin

Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor is a captivating and widely performed work. It's filled with subtlety and beauty, and a healthy dose of flash. This week's Featured Album also includes two works from a very young Felix, who was as much of a prodigy as Mozart. Chinese violinist Tianwa Yang plays with the Sinfonia Finlandia Jyväskylä (pronounced YOU-VAS-KUH-LAH), conducted by the legendary flutist Patrick Gallois.
