Final episode of The Weekly Feed to debut songs by The Afghan Whigs, Houndmouth, Ben Sollee, and others

The final episode of WFPK’s syndicated one-hour specialty show, The Weekly Feed, will begin airing this Friday, June 5th at 8 p.m. and continue on our affiliates throughout the week.  The final episode will debut never-before-released material from The Afghan Whigs, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, Houndmouth, Ben Sollee, Joseph Arthur, and Craig Finn from The Hold Steady's new solo EP. Host Kyle Meredith welcomes back Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn as his final guests, fitting given that Bela Fleck was also the first guest during the show’s pilot in 2009.

The Weekly Feed has become a nationally syndicated program airing on more than 30 stations, on Salon.com, and in Paste Magazine.  The show has featured interviews from hundreds of musicians including: Paul McCartney, St. Vincent, Tune-Yards, Twenty One Pilots, Father John Misty, Damien Rice, The Black Keys, Pearl Jam, Jason Isbell, Les Claypool, Dwight Yoakam, John Fogerty, Tom Jones, Laura Marling, Sean Lennon, Del the Funky Homosapien, Smashing Pumpkins, Ingrid Michaelson, John Cale, Sonic Youth, Sarah McLachlan, John Doe, Band of Horses, The Shins, and many others.

"The Weekly Feed has been my life for the past 6 years and has provided me so many opportunities, from interviewing the world's greatest artists to curating an hour dedicated to the biggest new songs of the week.  It's nice that we're taking it out on a high note and on our own terms and I can't wait to announce my next series and projects," commented WFPK Music Director and The Weekly Feed Host Kyle Meredith.
