New Partner for Children’s Musical Instrument Program

Louisville Public Media is proud to announce a new sponsor of the Instrumental Partners program.   PNC Wealth Management will become the corporate sponsor of the kid-focused musical instrument program."It's our pleasure to help Louisville Public Media and area school systems put musical instruments into the hands of children who might not otherwise be able to afford them," said Mike Moll, Senior Vice President at PNC.  "Music is an important component for a happy, healthy childhood."Instrumental Partners began in 2002 as a joint effort between Louisville Public Media and Jefferson County Schools to place instruments in the hands of deserving students.  In 2003, New Albany-Floyd County Schools joined the program.  To date, Classical 90.5 and 91.9 WFPK, with the help of our listeners, have donated over 300 new, gently used and refurbished instruments to area schools. Donations are tax deductible.  Louisville Public Media also accepts financial contributions to the repair fund as well. For more information, visit www.wuol.org or www.wfpk.org and click on Instrumental Partners.
