How Former Louisville Cardinals Coach Denny Crum Made His NCAA Tournament Bracket Picks

Submitted photo

This week marks the start of the NCAA Tournament—something Denny Crum knows an awful lot about.

Crum led the Louisville Cardinals to the men's basketball national championship in 1980 and 1986 and is a member of the basketball Hall of Fame. He retired in 2001 but can still be seen in the stands at the KFC Yum Center during U of L games. (He's married to WFPL afternoon host Susan Sweeney Crum.)

Coach Crum recently sat down with WFPL's Rick Howlett to fill out a 2015 NCAA Tournament bracket. Listen below for some of Crum's thinking:

In the 1980s, Crum famously battled the Kentucky Wildcats program over the latter's reluctance to play an annual game with U of L.

But this year, he's picking the Wildcats to win.
