Louisville "existential pop-rock" veterans IamIs (Shawna Dellacave and Jason Cox) released a new single yesterday. "Lead Hands" brings more of the haunting baroque pop we expect from the Louisville-based duo, and with bonus visuals: a new video, too. With Dellcave's lush vocals and a light psychadelic touch, "Lead Hands" could be the soundtrack to the hot and rainy summer the Old Farmer's Almanac's predicting. Languid nights in the low-90s with 85 percent humidity call for a few slow flights of fancy. "Lead Hands," recorded at the duo's Mother Vein Studio here in Louisville, is the first single from a new slate of work to be released throughout the year, funded in part by a grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women. Their new album, "Go Supernovae!," is due out later this summer. Watch the video for "Lead Hands" (and start planning your outdoor puppet show summer series now):
