The Milton-Madison Bridge has been moved onto its permanent home. Crews have finished the 55-foot slide of the new, half-mile long truss from temporary piers to refurbished supports that held the previous bridge. The slide started back up Thursday morning after crews were forced to stop on Wednesday because of high winds. The bridge has been closed since a March 11 construction accident.Officials say it will still take about a week to open the bridge.Work began in late 2010 on a $100 million project to replace the old bridge connecting Milton, Kentucky and Madison, Indiana.
