Aubrey Williams, David Tachau Talk Future of Metro Government Ethics at Louisville Forum

Today, WFPL's Phillip Bailey moderated a discussion hosted by the Louisville Forum on "What is Next For Metro Ethics and Neighborhood Funds."

The discussion follows allegations over the past two years that two council members misused taxpayer money and violated the cities ethics code.Panel members include attorney Aubrey Williams, who represented District 2 councilwoman Barbara Shanklin during her ethics and removal hearings. Shanklin was found found guilty of violating the city's ethics code by the city's Ethics Commission, but was later acquitted by the Council Court--which ultimately decides whether a council member is removed.Also included on the panel is attorney David Tachau, who represented the council's charging committee, which requested a removal trial for Shanklin.Finally, District 16 Councilman Kelly Downard will join the discussion. Have a listen here:
