Oldham County Authorities Look Into Report of Possible Plane Crash

Update 2:23 p.m. FAA Says Nothing Has Been FoundHere's a statement from Kathleen Bergen, a Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman: At about 11 am today, a Louisville-area resident reported that a small aircraft may have gone down near Exit 14 off I-71, near Crestwood in Oldham County, KY. The FAA notified local authorities. They conducted a search and did not find an aircraft accident.Earlier: At about 11 a.m. Sunday morning, Oldham County authorities began a search after getting multiple reports of a possible plane crash in the area.As of 2 p.m., they hadn't found anything, says an Oldham County dispatcher.Oldham authorities are searching all over the county, by land and helicopter, the dispatcher says.A Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman could not immediately be reached for comment.We're keeping an eye on the situation and will update when more information becomes available.
